GOCUBE Safety
and Security Film
Recent surveys have
revealed that Glass Doors and Window
Panes account for the greatest number
of accidents within the home, 20%. This
is in comparison to power tools and
work shop equipment which only accounts
for 7%. A child falling into a glass
door may experience unimaginable injuries,
yet with security films the majority
of the glass would be held in place
to reduce the risk of laceration.

Safety and Security
Film, is made from multiple layers of
clear polyester laminated together.

|
Safety and Security
Film can be applied to windows already
fixed to the buildings structure, providing
protection without the expense of having
new window panes fitted. All Protection
Tinting is free to use any brand of
film, sourcing high quality films with
proven colour stability and excellent
performance.

A window with applied
security films can act as a deterrent
to potential thieves. Even when
struck with a heavy object the glass
would not smash the way the intruder
had expected it to. The film ensures
that several heavy blows have to make
contact with the window before it is
penetrated, thus taking time. Even
at this point the building would be
inaccessible as several more blows have
to make contact to produce a cavity
large enough for a grab to be made.

One side of the film
has a layer of adhesive applied, known
as the mounting adhesive, which is highly
pressure sensitive. It is this
adhesive which contains UV absorbers.
Finally for this side, a liner is applied
to protect the adhesive until time of
installation.
The outer side of the
film is treated with an acrylic hard
coat to provide scratch resistance.
