NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESDux Hot Water introduces style and efficiency to hot water heaters with the launch of Solarone™![]() Maintaining its position as Australia's leading manufacturer in hot water systems, Dux Hot Water is proud to announce the launch of a brand new hot water system. Solarone™ - the latest innovation to emerge from the local Dux Research and Development facility, is a split system solar hot water heater that uses one solar collector, paired with a Dux storage tank. While other solar hot water systems use two solar panel collectors to collect energy from the sun, the new Solarone™ uses one panel with maximum solar absorption. This is combined with the use of Dux's patented Hotlogic® technology. With energy efficiency at its most advanced, the intelligent Hotlogic® processor in the Solarone™ uses the energy captured from the sun, heats the water in the tank, and pumps the hot water into the storage tank. Adapting to suit changing weather conditions on cloudy days, the Hotlogic® controller provides the benefit of boosting water if required, ensuring continuous hot water supply to the household, and significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Solarone™ system also distinguishes itself from traditional solar hot water systems by doing away with the unsightly roof tank, and requiring the installation of the single solar panel only. Through this, the Solarone™ avoids the issue of roof strengthening, allowing for a safer and more aesthetically pleasing installation, and providing a new solution for homes that have limited roof space. According to Howard Lloyd, Marketing Manager for Dux Hot Water, "The state of the art Solarone™ system responds to the demand for environmentally friendly, energy-efficient hot water systems. It represents the trend towards products that have excellent energy efficiency, while maintaining aesthetic appeal. "Solarone is the perfect example of a well-designed product that operates efficiently in the Australian climate, while satisfying building code requirements in new homes, for water heaters that assist to reduce greenhouse gas emissions", he added. An incentive to help consumers switch to solar hot water, the Federal Government is offering a Renewable Energy Certificate (REC), which rewards homeowners for converting from traditional hot water systems to solar hot water systems. Targeted print media and customer training is supporting the launch of Solarone™, along with a series of follow up launches in regional Queensland locations. Currently available in Queensland, the Solarone™ will look to launch in other states in Australia. Dux is part of the GWA group of companies, committed to providing environmentally friendly solutions to Australian homes with their famous family of brands including household names like Caroma and Dorf.
