Epoxy resin based flooring from Nuplex Construction Products

Surecote® 200HS epoxy floor coating filled the necessary requirements for this project such as: chemical resistance, non slip, hygiene and durability (resistant to mechanical abrasion).

The concrete floor had previously been covered with glued down carpet tiles. Prior to laying the Surecote® 200HS epoxy floor coating all excess glue had been removed then the surface of the concrete floor ground with a diamond grinder. Surecote 500 a two pack trowel on epoxy was used for the coving.

To achieve the required slip resistance a fine 30-60 aggregate was broadcast into the first coat of Surecote 200HS epoxy with a final coat of the same epoxy applied the following day.

It took the contractor Sunflek Surfaces 4 days to prepare and apply the epoxy floor coating. The laying of the final coats Surecote 200HS epoxy floor coating had been completed in the weekend allowing construction work to continue uninterrupted on Monday morning.
