S & N Brothers - granite & marble benchtops vs synthetic

Both are suitable but which one is right for your kitchen? After 12 years of selling both Granite and Marble and Reconstituted stone I have decided to lay out the truths about these products, mainly because there are too many people that are misled into using a product due to marketing tools and myths.

Many people today pick up a magazine or a catalogue and become experts in certain products just by reading and believing in what has been revealed in an advertisement. Sales people are allocated certain products and information and it is their duty to sell those products. This type of 'brainwashing' is evident when I have had many people come to me and tell me that Granite is no good for benchtops... Granite doesn't resist heat... there are no light colours available in Granite. The truth is manipulated to make $$$ and I could therefore do the same and write a biased article that may influence some undecided shoppers. I am spelling out the true pros and cons of Nature vs Man Made, rarely has this been done honestly!

Reconstituted (Man Made Surface)

Granite

Both products are commonly used and when designing kitchens our imagination is our limitation. If you truly want something plain and that does not become the feature of your kitchen then use synthetic, which has similar properties as Granite. If you want a natural look with character and a variety of colours to choose from then visit our showroom. I have granite in my kitchen, limestone tiles in the living areas and marble tiles in my bathrooms and I love them. What will you have in yours?
