Urimat waterless urinals saving millions of litres of water at Woodside Plaza

Woodside Plaza in Perth is estimated to save a staggering 9 million litres of water a year with Urimat waterless urinals. 9 million litres of water from a single building that doesn't have to be contaminated with chemicals and detergents then flushed and treated again before returning to the water system.

"Water is a truly precious commodity and we all have a duty of care to look after our natural resources. Dennis Buckle of CB Richard Ellis, Operations Manager Woodside Plaza, wanted to switch to an environmentally responsible systems and was impressed with the waterless systems offered by Urimat. Initially installed on five levels of the building, the waterless urinals proved so successful that DB Rreef, the owners of Woodside Plaza and CB Richard Ellis along with their chief tenant, Woodside Energy Limited, made the decision to extend the waterless systems throughout the complex.

"We were also very impressed at how much they improved the level of hygiene and improved the odour in the toilets as well as being very easy to clean." He explained.
