Polystyrene is a light weight, strong and clean and easy to handle and ideal for rendering. Accurate straight cuts and complicated profiles are very easy to achieve by using hot-wire, saw or knife.

This makes polystyrene ideal as a low temperature insulation. These properties, along with its moderate cost, have made this a popular and reliable material in this field.

Exterior insulation and coating systems have been used overseas for over 50 years. Nutex has been actively using Raw Insulation Board for over 20 years in Australia.

Polystyrene is available in any thickness from 40mm to 100mm. Non standard sized sheets and varying thicknesses are readily available and cut to your specific order.

Thermal Properties

Polystyrene EPS can be used for steel stud, timber stud, concrete and masonary buildings, providing an efficient and economical solution for insulation.
As the Polystyrene EPS is often used on the outside of the wall, stud cavities are maintained closer to room temperature, reducing the risk of surface and cavity condensation. The thermal mass advantages of concrete and masonary walls are also improved.
