JDN Air Hoists Now Included in QR Code Program from Pacific Hoists

Today Pacific Hoists is proud to announce the inclusion of the JDN air hoists in the QR Code Program. This means that all JDN Air Hoists now feature codes which will allow the user to access the JDN database. This database contains a world of information; including specifications, drawings and instruction manuals. This latest addition comes after the QR Code Program launch in October last year which included products such as Hitachi Electric Chain Hoists, Pacific Kylan-coated Winches and the new Pacific Rigging Clamps and Trolleys range.

QR Code is the abbreviation for Quick Response Code and consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background, as shown on the right. Each code is unique and contains a wide range of information which can be decoded through a QR Code Reading App on a smartphone. This app can be downloaded from the App Store and is used to scan the code through the phone's camera. It will then decode the information automatically. Examples of QR Code Reader programs are Optiscan, RedLaser and Telstra Code Reader.

The QR Codes for the Pacific Hoists' products will provide the user with a "point of use" solution. By scanning the code on the product, the user is able to access specifications, technical drawings and instruction manuals in a quick and environment friendly manner. This information can be saved on the smartphone or accessed again through re-scanning the code. Therefore, the information will never be misplaced or lost and will always be available.

CEO Richard Crake: "We were the first in the industry to use QR Codes and we are now expanding these codes to our entire product range. This technology suits our business because it gives our products that extra value to our end-users. Furthermore, it is part of our commitment to further improve our business on a day to day basis".
