Vital now available with Overload Protection

Today Pacific Hoists is proud to announce that the Vital chain and lever blocks are now available with Overload Protection. Vital has a strong reputation for being the best in the industry and regularly outperforms its competitors; especially in regards to ease of use and service life between inspections. Manufactured in Japan and distributed through a wide network of distributors, this most widely accepted range of chain and lever blocks in the Australian and New Zealand market now has a range expansion to include optional overload protection for most sizes.

The Vital range of chain blocks is suited for many applications in the mining, construction, industrial and automotive industry. They have proven to be an economical method to lift heavy loads with ease. The capacities vary from 0.5 tonne to 20 tonne.

The NR-series lever blocks feature the "free-wheeling" braking system which enables fast and easy operation. There is a minimum load requirement of 10% of the Working Load Limit to ensure that the braking system remains operative and continues to support the load. These lever blocks are ideally suited for the shipbuilding, construction, mining and power transmission industries and are available from 250kg to 9 tonne.

The highly sought after VR-series lever blocks feature a "lock-in and lock-out" braking system. This is the more traditional style with a free-wheeling system requiring the disengagement of the gear drive mechanism which is impossible with any load suspended on it. It alleviates the dangers of operating automatic free-wheeling lever blocks in tandem or with lightly loaded applications. These are ideally suited for the (underground) mining, aerospace and energy industries and are available from 800kg to 6.3 tonne.

Now with the addition of overload protection, the Vital products can safeguard operators from dangerous usage situations by ensuring the chain or lever block meets the required parameters to safely lift and lower a load without the damage caused by excessive loading.
