Waterproofing Concrete Irrigation Canals from F.E.W Waterproofing

automatic watering system

Liquid Rubber membranes provide surface protection in the form of a waterproof barrier for simple or complicated Water Channels or Irrigation Structures.

Once applied and cured, Liquid Rubber provides a non-toxic, flexible and waterproof coating that adheres to those common substrates such as concrete, natural and artificial stone, bricks or concrete blocks.

  • Waterproofing Drinking Water Supply Channels.
  • Waterproofing Irrigation Channels.
  • Waterproofing Drinking Water Pipes.
  • Waterproofing Water Tanks and Reservoirs.

Concrete irrigation canals are prone to cracking and failure can occur at the concrete joins between sections. Cracks can form on irrigation concrete surfaces due to thermal expansion and contraction resulting in water leakage from the channels.

Irrigation canals are constantly exposed to the elements; both sun and water can damage the concrete surface leading to deterioration. Chemicals such as salts and phosphates, often dissolved in the water, can attack the irrigation canals' concrete surfaces.

Liquid Rubber is an excellent protective membrane for irrigation canals:

  • Excellent adhesion to just about any substrate
  • Flexible to avoid cracking and to bridge cracks in the concrete surface
  • Low water permeance protects the surface
  • Unaffected by salts or chemicals In the water or soil
  • Seamless liquid applied system fully adheres to the surface - eliminating areas for water to get under the membrane
  • resists damage from UV sunlight exposure

F.E.W Waterproofing are the Australian Accredited Applicators for Liquid Rubber membranes.
