Innovative Walling for Mining & Energy from Modular Wall Systems

Modular Wall Systems' innovative response to challenges facing the mining & energy sector.

Noise mitigation, security, safety, sediment control, visual amenity, transport and an increased focus on the reduction of the wider ranging carbon footprint; these are just some of the many challenges faced by the mining industry today. For years, Modular Wall Systems provided major clients in the industry with a range of fixed height product solutions that have proven their worth over time.

Over recent years, the transport and storage challenge in the mining and energy sector in particular, combined with environmental concerns, resulted in a stated need for a temporary wall that is more flexible in its handling, whilst still being able to attain an above 4 meter height.

A solution was needed that was easy to transport to the furthest regions, whilst being able to handle the harshest weather and wind conditions (wind regions A, B & C). QuikWall's wall height can be extended and lowered, offering the ultimate flexible solution to deal with all climatic conditions (a fixed height, 4 meter high wall for example, might get damaged or blown over in high wind regions. Quickwall's height would simply be lowered if conditions so dictate).

Using the innovative winch assembly, QuikWall can easily be extended from a resting height of 2.6 meter to its maximum 4.4 meter height in less than a minute. The patented design of this product allows for compact transportation in large volumes & swift modular installation, mitigating large site mobilisation and establishment costs.

Application

QuikWall is extremely easy to manoeuvre and has excellent noise mitigation qualities, ensuring protection from construction or moving drilling noise. With superior finishing options, QuikWall also acts as a pleasing visual barrier.

QuikWall is applied on drilling rigs, to mitigate machinery noise during construction, around generators, as temporary plant enclosures, for sediment control, anywhere where high quality temporary, or longer lasting walling solution is essential.
