NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESFlash-Tite external roof flashing from Combined Roofing SolutionsFinally an external roof flashing that leaves dangerous lead for dead. We are pleased to announce the launch of a new innovative product, 'Flash-Tite'. So, what is so special about Flash-Tite? Flash-Tite is a Lead free, flexible, adhesive flashing designed to replace lead in all modern roofing applications. It was introduced a decade ago in Europe and now has sales of over two million rolls a year. Flash-Tite has a 10 year manufacturers warranty and has been tested to comply with AS/NZS 4347 by CSIRO. Flash-Tite can be used for all wall abutments, chimneys, and other rising parts of structures such as dormers. It's inert qualities mean that Flash-Tite can be installed with all roofing materials and will not contaminate any run off being collected and used for domestic purposes. Flash-Tite is quick and simple to install. It can be laid to professional standards using only very basic tools. The Aluminium mesh insert achieves a permanent and close fit to all roofing profiles and the sealed edge of the flashing provides excellent protection from wind driven rain and dust penetrating the roof space. Flash-Tite's unique properties are primarily that it is non-toxic, there are no corrosion problems with direct contact or water run off. It is available in three colors, i.e. Terracotta, Black and Brown. Flash-Tite is a lightweight and simple to install alternative to lead, zinc and copper. It is a flexible and economical solution for abutments at walls or chimneys as well as being 75% quicker to install than metal flashings. According to the Lead Group Inc "Australia is relaxed and comfortable about the use of lead while other countries legislate. In 2001 a number of recalls of leaded consumer products had taken place... if only they were bans." Combined Roofing Solutions P/L is an importer and distributor of innovative products for the construction industry. We are currently seeking interstate distribution for Flash Tite on a national scale. |
