Dominos Pizza Uses Innovative Wall-system in their outlets - Kemlite Fire-X Wall System - Dynamic Composite Technologies

(Sydney, NSW - May 2006) The largest Dominos Pizza outlet in Australia, Dominos Belconnen, in the ACT, has recently undergone a refurbishment of its kitchen and associated food preparation areas.

Using Kemlite's Fire-X wall system, Dominos replaced its existing wall covering with the easy clean, superior look and special fire-resistance properties of Kemlite.

Prior to Kemlite Fire-X, Dominos Pizza had a metal checker-plate covering installed in its operations. It thought that this would be enough to protect its walls from the arduous environment and the wear and tear of a commercial kitchen operation.

Fortunately for Kemlite, the original wall system just didn't meet Domino's requirements. Using the new Kemlite Fire-X system gave Dominos an opportunity to upgrade their kitchen areas and give their employees an easy clean and long lasting wall system that was also aesthetically pleasing.

Using Kemlite had other benefits as well. At less than half the cost of replacing the existing wall covering with a wall tile system, Kemlite Fire-X proved to be an economical as well as functional alternative for the refurbishment project.

"Two installers were able to completely cover a 24 square meter area in 5 hours, all while the rest of the kitchen continued operating as normal. This ease of installation was an added benefit to Dominos because it minimized the downtime of the kitchen, which meant the added cost of closing down the franchise while refurbishing was not necessary," explains Mr Paul Johnson, director of Dynamic Composite Technologies, the national distributor of the Kemlite product range in Australia.

"Kemlite also has the benefit of being HACCP approved for use in food preparation areas. This gave Dominos the added confidence that the product they chose has already been assessed by an industry specialist as suitable for use in the application they needed it for," says Mr Johnson.
