Methven launches 'super slim' Satinjet Kiri - form, functionality, water efficiency, performance and more

Melbourne - 18 April 2007. Leading shower and tapware company, Methven has launched its slimmest shower to date in the form of the Satinjet Kiri.

Methven Australia CEO, Matthew Crichton says that Satinjet Kiri is "destined to have great appeal to both residential and commercial customers who are seeking an unobtrusive showering solution that is subtle, sophisticated, yet high in performance and water saving."

With showering performance at 3000 droplets per second within a WELS 3-Star rated at 7.5 litres per minute, Satinjet Kiri exemplifies a new era in showering technology that combines performance with excellent water savings in a super slim showerhead with high tech, easy-to-clean coated face plate.

Satinjet Kiri joins the Satinjet family of sleekly designed and luxurious shower experiences with the added benefit of durability, sturdiness and flexibility demanded by residential and commercial customers alike. Since its launch in 2004, Satinjet has been applauded as much for its luxurious experience as for its functionality and exceptional water saving credentials.

Taking its name from the New Zealand Maori word for 'skin', Satinjet Kiri embraces the spirit of showering by nurturing the skin with a luxurious showering experience.

Methven Head of Design, Kent Sneddon explains that the leading edge, Twin-jet technology employed in the Satinjet Kiri has received international acclaim including the prestigious Good Design Award 2005 from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.

Suitable for all water pressures, users can be assured of maximising their water and energy saving goals without compromising on their showering experience. Satinjet Kiri offers a maximum consumption of 7.5 litres of water per minute that represents a saving of up to 50% when compared to standard showers that can consume up to 22 litres of water per minute. The reduction in hot water usage also means reduced CO2 emissions can be achieved through energy savings. Additional peace of mind can be also be found with Methven's lifetime guarantee that incudes a 'no leak' guarantee and extends to a 'no droop' guarantee on the highly specified, Hi-Rise arm which adds to the flexibility and functionality of Satinjet Kiri.

Kent Sneddon describes Kiri as "redefining Satinjet as an affordable, yet highly functional showering solution that has been designed to meet the needs and requirements for environmentally compliant products within the commercial market as well as offering an advanced aesthetic solution designed to enhance a wide range of residential settings." Kent adds that Kiri is just the start of another great range from Satinjet and will be followed by additional design options that will further demonstrate how something so small can do such a sterling job."

The just launched, Satinjet Kiri has already found favour within the design community and has been nominated as a finalist in the bathroom category at designEx 2007.
