Grip Guard anti-slip treatment

Grip Guard is a revolutionary anti-slip floor treatment that has opened up a whole new range of floor surfaces for outdoor use or for interior wet areas and foyers. Architects, builders and tile retailers are no longer limited to floor surfaces classed as slip resistant when providing advice or making floor surface selections.

Most of the beautiful high gloss surfaces popular in homes today become dangerously slippery when wet. Grip Guard anti-slip treatment allows architects and property owners to select a floor surface that does not have the required slip resistance and have it treated with the Grip Guard anti-slip treatment to create a safe pedestrian environment.

Grip Guard anti-slip treatment does not change the appearance of the floor surface unlike traditional anti-slip treatments such as floor etching which chemically abrades the uppermost surface of the tile. These types of treatment often alter the colour and reduce the natural lustre of the floor surface damaging the natural aesthetic of the floor surface.

Also, because Grip Guard anti-slip treatment is not a coating, it does not wear away over time. In fact, the treatment is a permanent modification of the floor surface which works its way into the surface of the tile or stone and microscopically alters the pore structure to reduce the possibility of aquaplaning - the most common cause of slips and falls.

Grip Guard anti-slip treatment is carried out by trained operators who measure the slip resistance of floor surfaces both before and after treatment with results recorded on a warranty. Grip Guard operators are available throughout Australia including Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Tasmania as well as regional areas and overseas.
