Fire Door Shutters from Ideal Doors

Fire shutters are designed to stop the spread of fire in a building. They do this by closing automatically in the event of fire to stop drafts and prevent flames spreading from one area to another.

Fire shutters can be rated up to 4-hours with structural adequacy being not applicable, integrity of 240 minutes and insulation of 02 minutes - shown as -/240/02 FRL.

The insulation rate can be improved to 30 minutes by drenching the door from the sprinkler system.

Fire shutters have the main advantage of requiring minimal storage room; in particular very little side room compared to hinged or sliding fire doors. They can be used for openings up to 5-metres high x 8-metres wide and can have a colour powdercoated finish.
