Launceston Aquatic Centre

Urban Energy was engaged in 2012 to design, supply and install a new combined heating and power system (CHP) for the Launceston Aquatic Centre. Launceston City council were looking to reduce their energy cost and knew that the right cogeneration system would be able to provide significant savings.

Urban Energy have supplied and installed two Tedom T200 engines that will provide the facility with all their thermal requirements and a contribution to their energy whilst running in parallel gird. When the facility has low energy demand the system will be able to feed energy back into the grid.

Launceston Aquatic offers state-of-the-art aquatic and leisure facilities. Catering for a broad range of users from toddlers to competitors.
