Anti-slip nosing overhaul by Global Safe Technologies at Parramatta

Pro active building maintenance management of this Parramatta based large office building and car park decided to upgrade all 600 plus stair nosing in the entire building and car park to ensure public safety as well as to improve aesthetical appearance. Global Safe Technologies Australia has assisted with the assessment of the situation and provided management with a long term, cost effective, sustainable solution.

After attending the site and discussed all requirements, the company has provided a complimentary Floor Safety Inspection report to building management together with a quote for the proposed solution. The product proposed was the Safe Grip cold fusion anti slip stair nosing due to its proven very hard wearing, excellent bonding to metal and other surfaces and long lasting slip resistance which will ensure that the solution will solve the issue for the next decade. Fast curing time of the product as well as the company's capability to complete the job over 4 evening and nights were also very important.

To improve safety as well as aesthetical appearance, the Safety Yellow colour was chosen. Global Safe Technologies has assembled a team of experienced floor safety network members by calling on local and interstate representatives and completed the work within the agreed time frame with no interruption to the tenants of the building. Building management and the owners are totally satisfied with the quality of workmanship and professionalism of the team.

They also appreciate the Global Safe approach of not only providing the floor safety solution, but backing it up with a long term warranty as well as with a ongoing risk management program, which offered at no additional cost to them. This risk management program which is called Floor Safety Maintenance Program© or FSMP©, includes site specific cleaning staff training of cleaning and maintenance of the floor as well as regular inspections and reporting of the surface condition.

The FSMP© will ensure that the fire escape and car park stairs will remain safe for all staff and visitors, now and in the future as well as provides full compliance with the recently introduced Occupational Health and Safety Code of Practice 2008;
