DORMA goes Green

At DORMA, we pride ourselves on our commitment to the environment and strive to reuse, recycle and reduce the waste of resources and energy consumption in the manufacturing and marketing of our products.

DORMA are driving a greater online presence and focusing on e-commerce over printing. Where possible, all paper used for internal or promotional printing, is FSC or PEFC certified and sourced from well managed forests or from controlled and recycled wood or fibre. DORMA understands the importance of environmental preservation and the need to continually improve and develop products with sustainability in mind.

Longevity
DORMA products provide years of reliable functionality if serviced regularly, therefore reducing management and replacement costs and in turn the impact on the environment.

Materials
Stainless steel which is used for our locks, levers & glass fixings is not plated and therefore no waste material or carcinogens are created during production.
Aluminium, has one of the highest recycling rates of any metal and is used in our automatic operators and door closers.

Reduced Energy Consumption
The EL301 automatic sliding door incorporates a Climate Control function which sets the door to a reduced opening and minimizes energy consumption from A/C & heating while reducing wear on temperature control systems.
Door closers, movable walls, airlock systems and slimline framing also minimise energy loss.
