Water and Nutrient Retention for Green Roofs from Sanoway

Applications:
Extensive and Intensive green roofs without water reservoir but with drainage layer.

Recommended SANOPLANT application quantities:
SANOPLANT has to be premixed with some sweet sand and/or mostly porous substrate like fine broken bricks or lava mixed with organic material.

SANOPLANT minimum quantities:
7,5 kg per m3 at not arid or semi arid areas
10 kg per m3 at arid or semi arid areas

The necessary quantities of SANOPLANT have to be adapted individually to the climate and soil conditions. At extreme locations also higher quantities as mentioned may be necessary.

Effects of using SANOPLANT:
Water remains in Substrate for a longer time period than without SANOPLANT.

SANOPLANT doesn't change the pore-volume, but reduces the intensity of evaporating and quanity of drainage water. By using SANOPLANT the maximum load of the roof keeps the same, if the substrate is completely saturated, like without using SANOPLANT but water keeps longer available for plants. Surplus water will be drained as well.

Water is retained in a plant-available form, increase of root-building, added nutrients remain plant-available for a longer time - no washing out. The root system is growing stronger and deeper, through the whole substrate, what increases the vitality of the whole plant.
