NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESLaser Lighting used in Melbourne project from Se´Lux![]() Project Name - 31 Queen St, Melbourne , Victoria Se´Lux Distributor - Laser Lighting Architect - Gray Puksand Electrical Engineers and Lighting Designer - Electrolight | Lighting Designers - The architect's brief to us was to create a foyer that has a significant presence when viewed from its prominent position on the street, yet was energy efficient and symbiotic with the interior design. They were as keen to minimise the use of the downlights as we were. The scheme is a combination of simple fluorescent battens are integrated into the fabric of the wall finishes producing pleasant light into the space while modelling the Corrian wall panels in silhouette and a strong framing line of fluorescent extrusion by Selux using system M150 Linear floursect system with over lapping gear trays. The design utilises a dramatic combination of colour temperature - 3000K lamps at the bottom of the wall fade up to a stark 6000K at the top; a contrast that is especially impressive when viewed from the street. ![]() |
