Kelair's Layne Bowler pumps offer very short leadtime.

When Kelair was recently asked to service a lineshaft-style vertical turbine pump that had been in service for many years it became apparent upon inspection that it would not be economical to repair the pump.

The pump was being used to supply water from a treatment plant to a reservoir for gravity reticulation to the surrounding area and the customer was keen to return the pump to service as a back-up to a second pump that was still in service.

New pump and motor options were investigated, however the relatively long lead times for production of this style of pump meant that the customer was likely to be operating with only one pump for a considerable period, which was clearly undesirable. Fortunately Kelair was able to offer a solution to the problem.

A Layne Bowler pump was offered complete with a new motor, and because most of the parts for the selected model were available with very short lead times, Kelair was able to supply the pump within an acceptable timeframe.
