At Wallmark we are often asked by clients to explain why we think our modular walls and fencing products are superior to other fencing materials. They ask us to compare Hebel blocks versus Wallmark fence panel walls. They want to know why a Wallmark fence might be a better choice than a Hebel fence or one constructed from Besser blocks. In case you were wondering too, we've listed some of the reasons we think Wallmark fencing systems might be a better option than the fencing solutions offered by our competitors.

Specialised engineering. Unlike all-purpose blocks, the Wallmark range - Urbanwall, Evowall and Dunewall - has been designed specifically for the construction of boundary walls and fences, and each modular component has been created so that it fits precisely with the other components in the range Superior wind resistance. Posts in Wallmark's Evowall range have been designed in a variety of configurations and sizes. Standard 100mm section posts are suitable for most conditions, but for regions where there is a risk of high winds our 162mm section posts offer more construction flexibility, a wider range of height options, and cyclone compatibility.

Proven, effective noise control. While walls constructed from concrete blocks and precast concrete panels provide some noise protection, and Hebel wall panels reflect noise, Wallmark modular panels have been designed to deaden noise. They are constructed from strong fibre cement sheeting surrounding an expanded polystyrene core. These materials have excellent acoustic properties; when tested by NATA our wall sections achieved noise reduction of up to 28 decibels.

Ease of installation. Because blocks cast from concrete or aerated concrete are heavy, quite extensive site groundwork to excavate footings is required before building a block wall. Wallmark modular panels are strong but light in weight; before installing Wallmark fencing, a line of holes needs to be drilled or dug to accommodate the posts but there is no need for a trench. Wallmark components are designed for easy handling and assembly, and construction of Urbanwalls and Evowalls is relatively simple. Wallmark's fast, no fuss construction techniques have the potential to significantly reduce installation cost and site disruption.
