NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESLED Neon Flex Sky Sign for RMIT from iMAAGE Envirolife![]() The RMIT Design Hub is an exciting and innovative building in Melbourne that has taken shape over the past few years. The latest addition to this iconic building is an RGB LED Neon Flex sky sign. When Claude Neon came up with this innovative sign concept they contacted iMAAGE for specialist help and together we were able to bring their concept to fruition.
The lettering and logo's are 2.5m high with a single 15mm wide strip of colour changing RGB Neon Flex forming the outline of each.
This is controlled from a stand alone master controller and iMAAGE wrote 39 separate programmes or 'scenes' for RMIT. Two elevations work in sequence, however these could be controlled individually if desired. The two signs were suspended behind existing 300mm frosted glass discs that cover the entire building creating a 'dot' effect. With the letters and logos consisting of an outline only, the sign is virtually see-thru and completely unseen during daylight hours or whenever not illuminated. |
