Queensferry Crossing completed using Alimak construction hoists.

Six Alimak Scando 650 hoists were used in the construction of the Queensferry Crossing, the world's longest three-tower, cable stayed bridge, located between Edinburgh and Fife, Scotland.

The bridge, which is 1.7 miles (2.7 km) long, is due to open by end of August 2017.

Alimak Hek supplied six Scando 650 construction hoists, with two hoists installed per pylon; one DOL serving sea level and one FC serving road level to the top of the pylon. The pylons are over 200 meter tall.

Alimak Hek also designed and supplied tie installation platforms on each hoist, proving a safe working environment for the installation of ties.
