The Australian International Design Awards sets a global benchmark of quality in manufactured goods. Recognising kIrI wall shower for the building sector, the judging panel acknowledged the ingenuity of the water saving satinjet technology featured in the contemporary styling of the compact kIrI shower design. Using a third of the water consumed by traditional showers, kIrI saves the average family of 4 over 100,000 litres of water each year, delivering a new benchmark in bathroom performance. The patented 'twin-jet technology' creates jet streams which collide and fracture into 3,000 droplets of water per second, delivering a luxurious waterfall spray that blankets the entire body, yet uses only 7.5 litres of water per minute. Methven's kIrI shower range achieves the maximum 3 star WELS rating for water usage and uses 50% less energy from the savings accrued from not having to heat the extra water. Methven's Satinjet technology is no stranger to recognition! A sister to the modern kIrI design is Futura, which won the International commendation from the prestigious Chicago Museum of Architecture & Design for its Satinjet technology and unique water saving performance. "We are delighted to receive this important award that recognises our innovation in water delivery technology. Methven has a 120 year tradition of developing new ways to save water and improve the performance of showers and taps in the family bathroom. The kIrI shower range heralds the latest achievement of our development team, which is leading the world in intelligent design for the future," said Matthew Crichton, CEO Methven Australia. ![]() |
