Clyde Bergemann Senior Thermal acquires Bachmann Industries Inc.

Clyde Bergemann Power Group is delighted to announce the successful acquisition of Bachmann Industries Inc. in USA. Bachmann is the market leading provider of high performance, custom-engineered "Air-Gas Handling" solutions for the global energy and industrial markets. Their product range includes dampers, diverters, expansion joints and gas turbine exhaust systems for power generation, petrochemical and industrial applications.

Bachmann is headquartered in Auburn, Maine/USA and currently has 60 staff. The businesses will be integrated as "Clyde Bergemann Bachmann" (CBBA) into the Clyde Bergemann Power Group Americas within the CBPG.

Fred Koch will continue to lead CBBA as President and CEO supported by Mike Sellinger as Vice President and COO. In this position Fred will report to Hans Schwade, CBPG V.P. and COO and head of CBAM.

This acquisition is confirming Clyde Bergemann's Strategy for Growth and is a perfect enhancement of our current product portfolio with additional and highly complementary products and an extension into the gas fired power market. "Air-Gas Handling" will become a new business field of Clyde Bergemann. I am personally very satisfied that we could execute this acquisition in the current difficult finance market environment and sure our global platform and Bachmann's excellent product range will offer us exciting growth prospects.
