LedFX custom lighting solution for the Hilton Hotel, Southbank

The interior designers of the Deluxe Hilton Hotel on the Yarra at Southbank specified a number of LedFX custom lighting solutions when designing the fit-out for the completely new hotel. The Hilton Designers were in need of a bespoke bedhead lamp and LedFX was very pleased to provide an eco-friendly solution using low voltage LEDs that fulfilled every requirement.

Our unique design came from the Hilton's requirement to have a bed head lamp that would fit within the very tight confines between the front face of the bedhead and the wall (50mm) and still be flush with the face of the bedhead when closed.

By using LEDs, LedFX were able to alleviate any heat dissipation problems and keep the fitting small while still punching out the lumens that the Hilton interior designers required. The fitting is simple to operate, Hilton guests push the front of the lamp and it opens outwards 90 degrees and turns on automatically, to switch it off you simply close it, making it an ultra streamline fitting.

The HIlton interior designers also made use of our LedFX EdgeLED Halo product, with more than 20 metres of LED wall washer being used to help set the tone in the entrance lobby as guests arrive.

EdgeLED Halo was also specified into shelving units that hold spirit bottles behind the bar, EdgeLED Halo strips are mounted behind, creating a washer effect that light up the bottles producing a very effective light feature as Hilton Guests move down the length of the main bar.

As guests enter the restaurant they pass 35 diamond shaped wall washers with each one being illuminated by a LedFX LED Power Bar, this small compact light strip packs enough punch to light the wall feature while using only a fifth of the energy a standard lamp would use.

LedFX Neon-Glo was used under the forecourt eaves and in the roof trusses of the restaurant making a fabulous ambient light feature above Hilton Guests as they enjoy both the food and the ultra modern decor that makes the New Hilton on Southbank one of the best hotels in Australia.
