Grip Guard floor safety solutions against the winter rain

When it rains, outdoor pedestrians surfaces can become wet and dangerously slippery. Floors in internal areas can also become slippery when water is tracked in or dripped from wet umbrellas and coats.

Every property owner has a 'duty of care' that requires that buildings and surrounding areas are safe for those who access them. Grip Guard anti-slip floor safety treatments allows property owners and managers to meet these legal requirements.

Grip Guard anti-slip treatment microscopically modifies the internal pore structure of floors to make them slip resistant when wet. Because the treatment is not a coating that wears away, its benefits are long lasting.

Grip Guard recently assisted a Melbourne university to ensure that pedestrian areas were safe for students, staff and visitors. With recent wet weather there were areas that were found to lack adequate slip resistance posing a slip and fall risk for pedestrians.

Slip resistance measurements taken during the site assessment revealed that a number of floors at the university required anti-slip treatment to meet Australian Standards. Grip Guard treatment dramatically increased the slip resistance leading to enhanced pedestrian safety.

Grip Guard non-slip treatment is available throughout Australia and New Zealand including Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Auckland and selected regional areas.
