A growing part of Ironwood's business is the Joinery, run by Bill Ward, whose motto is: “whatever crazy idea you have, bring it to us and we can bring it to life!”.

With that kind of attitude, it's no wonder that a number of trendy hotels and restaurants have approached Ironwood to make unique types of Australian made furniture and decor. Bill knows the history of every piece of furniture passing through his hands and where the timber comes from.

Like the curious badly damaged Grey Iron Bark hardwood which had been eaten out by hungry white ants and turned into a one and only piece of unique art. Each damaged section has a different scene inside and filled with resin. Scenes like: fisherman on the rocks, fishing into crystal clear blue waters, and horses and cows and even a grave yard. This has to be seen to be believed. It is currently on display at Ironwoods showroom. Most of the other examples can be seen in restaurants and bars around town.

On their website, Mumu Grill boasts that “the restaurant has an 11m long bar where patrons can enjoy a variety of tapas, great cocktails, wines from an extensive list and ice cold beer...” That bar is one Solid Red Iron Bark bar top provided by Bill and his crew at Ironwood. Other types of work can also be seen in private houses (entrance doors, indoor or outdoor furniture, benchtops) or large shopping centres.
