Cast Iron Reproduction Sydney from Wrought Artworks

Wrought Artworks can faithfully reproduce heritage cast & wrought ironwork to match original work or recreate a heritage look.

Whether the project is large or small, civic, residential or institutional, for a cast or forged iron reproduction lantern, a gate and railings, windows for a heritage site, or hardware such as throw bolts, latches etc.

This was a commission for a divider on an ocean going cruiser.

The interior designer adapted a 16th century style of forge work for this project.

The 'repousage' shell, flower and garlands at the top of the columns were gold leafed.

It was a technically and visually exciting piece of work, although some difficulty was encountered getting onboard the vessel.

This pair of lanterns had considerable rust and dilapidation necessitating a complete remake. The castellated detail on the top edge was recast in lead, as original. The hinge & catch on one of the glass panels, required in lanterns to access the bulb was hand-made in the traditional manner. New glass was cut and new wiring installed.

This pair of Spanish style was commission by the client to match the antique wood and iron door.

Forged brackets support the lanterns. One of the glass panels incorporates hand-made hinges and a catch to allow bulb replacement.

The finish is a waxed, rust finish.
