This construction project management company needed a tactile solution for their disabled school project. They have engaged Global Safe Technologies Australia in the past on similar projects. After studying the drawings, site visit and identifying project specific constraints, the peel and stick tactile tiles were proposed by the company. The selection of the tactile luminance contrasted colour and installation of the tactile tiles was compliant with the relevant AS 1428.4:2009 and the Disability (Access to Premises) Standard 2010 legislation which came into force on 1 May 2011.

The Project had to be completed on a tight schedule to ensure the timely handover the school premises. Having an extended period of wet weather did not help the situation.

The peel and stick tactile tiles have their advantage not only cost wise, but also for their very quick and efficient installation. The tiles have an independently tested R12 sustainable slip resistance rating, which will ensure the safety of the users of the surface for an extended period of time.
