Auditorium Acoustic Panels from Sontext

acoustic panels in auditorium

Serenity Acoustic Panels have been recently installed in the School Auditorium at Suzanne Cory High School in Werribee Victoria. Designed by Brand Architects of Melbourne and built by Watpac Victoria the Acoustic Panels were specifically designed to acoustically treat the space by eliminating unwanted reverberation.

The concept was to create a functional space that could be used as a Multi-purpose hall as well as a traditional auditorium. To achieve this the Serenity Acoustic Panels needed to be functional, i.e. have high sound absorbing properties, high impact resistance and also have unique aesthetic properties.

Painted and Fabric Acoustic Panels increases Designer freedom

The upper panels in the photograph are in a painted finish and the lower panels are covered in Fabric. This was to create a unique look as well as creating a hard wearing facing that can stand up to the rigours of school life. The Serenity Painted acoustic panels are available in any of the RAL colour range and are custom made to the designers choice.

While the Fabric Acoustic Panels were covered in more traditional screen fabrics supplied by "Fabriche Fabrics" the choice of thickness and shape gave the designer almost unlimited design freedom. Serenity Acoustic panels are available in 25,50,75,100mm thicknesses and up to 3000mm x 1200mm while providing high impact resistance with the L32 impact resistant membrane.

Sontext work with all Australia's leading designers to improve sound quality while giving a truly decorative Acoustic Panel.
