The 405 was the only choice for the lifts for Parramatta City Council. Says Allan Jamison of Council, "The 405 was the only option. We looked at a franner crane but the footpath we needed to operate on is only rated to 9 tonne load capacity so we needed a mini crane. We thought that any small crane would really struggle with lifting the 1.3 tonne platform into the river but we were really surprised at how the Maeda 405 performed.
