Acoustic Solution for Burwood Library from Decor Systems

The redevelopment of the old Burwood library into a new state of the art library and community hub has been a success for the residents of Burwood.

Revitalised by TKD, this former council building is a beacon of modern design and a sanctuary for school children, university students and everyday citizens.

Working closely with the architects, the use of SmartLook Slotted DecorTrend Panels on the ceiling was an economical choice for a vast area that needed an acoustic solution. These panels are used throughout the library and community hub to create a universal design in the quiet areas and the larger function rooms.

The panels were finished in an Oxbow Maple, with a C Profile from the SmartLook Range, and installed by Conceptual Interiors.

The final result is a luxurious interior on a budget with no compromise of finish, acoustics or design. Delivered in a timely manner, Decor Systems was proud to deliver a high quality product, to such an important civic project.
