By using a carefully selected variety of quality materials, Andrew Dee of Wonderful Kitchens has created a spacious, stylish and functional kitchen with maximum visual impact. When the owners briefed Dee, it was obvious they had done their homework. What was once an old, tired laminate kitchen was to be transformed into a contemporary room made with a wide variety of materials that blend together to create a simple, uncluttered look. The result is spectacular. The combination of stained timber, frosted glass and stainless steel has produced a stylish kitchen that meets everyone's needs. From the cabinet doors with stained timber veneer to the brushed aluminium laminate kickboards, the effect is striking and modern. Two polyurethane open shelves were used in the dining area to create balance, continue the open-plan theme and provide a much-needed wall area in the kitchen for the tall units. As well as being visually stunning, this kitchen is very functional and contains a number of interesting aspects such as an abundance of storage space and stainless-steel appliances. A simple, uncluttered floorplan and clean, sharp lines accentuate the modern design of this inviting kitchen.
