Zeroflush Waterless Urinal - Finally! A Waterless urinal that lives up to your expectations!

Department of Defence, Gold Coast City Council, Griffith University, South Bank Corporation, The Oasis
Shopping Centre, A B Paterson College, Coomera Anglican College to name just a few.
In July 2005 frustrated by the poor performance and servicing issues of all other waterless urinals currently
available Whywait Plumbing Services joined with equally frustrated partners in USA and UK to design,
manufacture and market the ZeroFlush Waterless Urinal®. The result has been an outstanding success
eliminating all the problems that exist in competing waterless urinals and allowing Whywait Plumbing
Services to proudly state Finally! A waterless urinal that lives up to your expectations! The ZeroFlush
Waterless Urinal® has been developed to be the most economical and environmentally friendly waterless
urinal available in the world today.
The ZeroFlush Waterless Urinal® vitreous china models are the culmination of proven experience in
installing and maintaining waterless urinals internationally with proven technology, environmental concern
and above all continuing innovation. The ZeroFlush Waterless Urinal® patented trap system will give
years of odour free superior performance, trouble free operation and an improved level of sanitation and
hygiene in male toilet facilities.
Why are ZeroFlush Waterless Urinals® better?
- Manufactured in white vitreous china with environmentally friendly ABS waste trap and
insert meaning no more stains, discolouring or scrubbing traps to remove uric salts.
- Largest built-in waste trap of any waterless urinal means more uses averaging 15000 uses between
services compared to competitors 4000 uses between services.
- No cartridges to remove and dispose of.
- No PVC traps and inserts that become caked in uric salts requiring descaling treatments and
scrubbing between uses.
- No stainless steel inserts that separate from the trap after a few uses.
- No difficult to inspect and replace internal O ring seals in the trap.
- No odour smells with a guaranteed odour free performance always.
- No need to constantly be adding odour barrier oil between services.
- Easy to maintain and clean with no special waxes or cleaners ever required.
- No chemical blocks or odour masking devices required.
- Simple and quick servicing with no need to ever come into contact with urine.
- Guaranteed lowest operational and maintenance cost of all waterless urinals available.
- Guaranteed no water or sewer costs.
- All natural ZeroFlush odour barrier oil manufactured from the Rapeseed plant and commonly
known as Rapeseed oil or the modified version Canola oil.
- Improved design reduces common splash problems during use.
- Easy installation and retrofit.
How does it work?
After installation of the urinal to the waste system, no water connection is required, the trap housing is
filled with water then an oil based odour barrier is added. The ZeroFlush urinal has a housing with a
very simple overflow trap which is the secret to how the urinal works. The patented housing of the
urinal is larger than any other waterless urinal on the market allowing for an average of 15,000 uses
before servicing is required. Urine is made up of two parts approximately 96% water with the
remainder being uric salts. When used urine travels through the holes in the trap and down into the
housing, from here the water component works it way out through the overflow trap with the salts
settling at the bottom of the housing. Once all the water in the housing has been replaced by uric salts
the oil based barrier (blue in colour) will show through the holes indicating its time to service the
urinal.
What about smells?
Smells are never a problem with ZeroFlush waterless urinals. The oil based odour barrier which floats
on the surface of the water inside the housing creates a seal that prevents odour from permeating from
the drainage system.
What are they made of?
All ZeroFlush waterless urinals are made from high quality vitreous china which does not fade, stain or
change colour. The housing and trapping systems are made of A.B.S. plastic which unlike PVC plastic
prevents uric salts from adhering to their surfaces.
How do you keep it clean?
Because the urinals are made from high quality vitreous china they are easy to keep clean. Like any
other plumbing product in a bathroom it does need to be wiped down daily. Unlike other waterless
urinals that require special sprays ZeroFlush waterless urinals can be cleaned with any regular cleaning
product.
How often do you have to change the oil?
On average once every fifteen thousand uses (15,000). The larger housing and trapping system on
ZeroFlush waterless urinals means you only need to service the urinal on average 2-3 times a year. (In
high usage areas frequency may increase.) As the housing and trap are made of A.B.S. plastic and the
uric salts do not adhere to them there is no additional costs to descale or replace trapping components
with resultant blow out in servicing costs.
Does it meet Australian Standards?
Yes. The ZeroFlush Waterless Urinal® has been approved for use in Australia with the awarding of the
WaterMark Certificate WMKT21154 to ATS5200.459 by SAI Global. They have no need to conform
to the WELLS legislation as they have no need for water and consequently have no requirement to
meet the water efficiency act.
Are they expensive?
No, the ZeroFlush waterless urinal is competitive with all other forms of urinal on the market water and
waterless alike. The real savings with ZeroFlush when compared to other waterless urinals is the ease
of installation with minimal cost for retro fitting and reduced servicing costs as servicing only required
2-3 times a year.
