Vox Populi with The Australian Institute of Waterproofing

Over the past months your representatives on the AIW have been very active in a number of areas, in particular conducting Information and Training Seminars for major Commercial and Residential Builders through both the HIA and in-house sessions. Other activities have seen the push for 'Certificates of Completion' to be issued for each project; greater acceptance of locally manufactured product that is tested and approved to AS/NZ 4858:2004 the continuing followup from the workshop in March particularly in respect to greater involvement nationally in the AIW and it's objectives; and becoming more involved with education and training on a national basis to provide people with industry experience and knowledge as trainers at Registered Training Organisations.

We have listened to you - the voices of the waterproofing industry, and we are now ready to take your comments back to the marketplace and seek commitment to supporting the AIW in it's objectives on a national basis. Over the next few weeks representatives of the AIW will contact most waterproofing contractors across Australia seeking support for the programmes you asked for to further strengthen the waterproofing industry to provide benefits not only to you the contractor, but in so doing will provide benefits to the whole community.
