Italian Porphyry staircases Melbourne

As part of a new residential project our company has recently supplied an outstanding porphyry stone staircase. The project included the sourcing of red/burgundy porphyry dimensional stone, saw cut and exfoliated. Our stonemasons installed 15 slabs, each measures (1000L x 300W x 150 thick)mm plus a landing step (1000L x 1000w x 150Thick)mm.

On site we also core drilled the holes for the fixing of the porphyry stone slabs to the powdercoated mild steel staircase structure and for the fixing of the feature glass handrails.

The project, designed by In2Design Architecture, is a recipient of the 2009 RAIA - Royal Architect Institute Association - Residential Development Award.
