The EP132x Serial to Ethernet Converter provides an economical and convenient way to control any serial device over a LAN. The EP132x has a DB9 serial RS232 port and an RS422/485 terminal port. The 10Base-T or 100Base-TX (Auto-Sensing) Ethernet connection is via a standard RJ45 socket. With a 32 bit, 33MHz ARM7 processor, 128kb ROM and 2Mb RAM the Ep132x is a powerful device with an inbuilt web server for simple setup. Administrator security is protected with setup and connect passwords. The firmware can be updated via Ethernet and there is a watchdog function to ensure the EP132x remains online. The EP132x supports all common Ethernet protocols including TCP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP, DHCP and PPoE. The serial port can also be configured to support speeds from 300bps to 230.4Kbps, with all of the standard settings for parity, data bits and stop bits. Power to the unit is provided by a 9-12VDC source (not supplied).
