Stone Cladding Systems with Stoneclip

The above photo is of a section of cladding in a 100 m2+ front free standing screen fence that has been recently clad onto a 200 mm thick concrete block wall by Stone & Tile Solutions in Christchurch NZ. The stone used is varied in thickness from 20 mm-40 mm and was secured to the substrate using 20 mm set size clips in conjunction with a cement based adhesive, creating a staggered front face to all of the stone panels.

The Stoneclips are used in this case to secure the panels to the substrate and allow for effects from cold and heat not breaking the bond of the adhesive, either on the back of the panel or the substrate. It is another case where support is provided and is not apparent to the eye with security of the panels assured for around $30.00/ m2.
