Acoustic Stud Wall Systems from Peer Industries

Peer has released a new 92mm acoustic stud which is achieving significant increases in RW values compared to a standard stud wall system with the same layers of board & insulation.

The acoustic studs are performing so well that test results have been equivalent or better than comparative staggered stud wall types. The major benefits are the reduction in the number of studs required & the increase in achievable wall heights that are associated with a system where the studs can be lined on both sides.

With extensive testing conducted by the CSIRO earlier in the year & another 12 tests completed this month, there are a range of systems that will achieve values of up to RW60. The tested walls were sheeted with Boral Firestop, Soundstop & USG Powerscape in various configurations with Fletcher Insulation.

Manufactured in Queensland, Peer 'Gold' products feature AZ150 corrosion protection.
