Timber Top® Floating Floors are a quick and easy solution to create the timber floors in your home or office that you are looking for. Available in a number of different species and sizes, you will be amazed with the finished product. The timber floors are available in Australian species such as Blackbutt and Spotted Gum, and imported species such as Nyotah and Brazilian Cherry. The board sizes range from 82mm to 145mm wide. The larger size (one strip board) adds a classic and elegant style to a room, where the three strip boards, which are divided into 60mm panels, can create an illusion that makes a small area look particularly larger.

The easy-to-lay planks begin with a 3.5mm of solid hardwood with a 6 coat wear resist, UV acrylic at a 65% gloss level, followed by a 9.5mm middle layer of plantation grown timbers. Different interlocking systems are available depending on your board selection, including Tongue and Groove profile or the Uni LOC system.

Timber Top® Floating Floors are appropriate for all styles of home or office and especially suitable for apartments. The lengths are up to 1.82m and come in manageable boxes made up of approximately 2m² per box (depending on the species and style you choose) making it very easy to carry up stairs or into lifts within apartment blocks.

Timber Top® Floating Floors are extremely easy to install and can be laid by a professional or experienced handyman. As the product is already pre-finished, no onsite sanding and polishing is required. The installation process begins with a 2mm foam underlay to act as a barrier or subfloor, with the timber floorboards laid on top. Finally, to finish, a 19 x 19mm scotia is fixed around the edges of the floor to create an attractive skirting. Once this procedure is complete, you instantly have a fine-looking floating floor ready to be walked on with no waiting for the floors to dry or the smell of toxic fumes from the polish.
