BTA were engaged as the specialist contractor to rectify the spalled concrete, water leaking into rooms below & the various cracks within the slab. A "Vee" joint was ground out to various cracks in the concrete surface, and a fast cure polyurethane sealant applied into the formed joints to allow for expansion & contraction. All areas were cleaned thoroughly prior ready for the membrane application. The areas were primed with a suitable epoxy based primer. Tremco Vulkem 350 Base Coat was applied, followed by the beige 351 topcoat, incorporating a Sandstone Aggregate broadcast to give a non-slip finish. Excess aggregate was then removed and one coat of the 351 Clear Finish applied as a final lock in coat. A folded angle was fixed to the outer edge of the concrete of the balcony, to keep water from running down the wall. |
