Global Safe Tactile Solution Assists School Project
Part of this special school major renovation project required a disability standard AS/NZS 1428.4 - 2002 compliant tactile ground surface indicatorsolution. The construction company contacted Global Safe Technologies to provide a fully standard compliant solution.

The client required that the company would do the installation urgently to ensure that the project completion is not jeopardised.

Global Safe Technologies team attended the site and assessed the situation then installed the tactiles at the agreed time and solved theconstructions company's issue. The tactile installation was required both on timber as well as on concrete substrate.

The installation was done using the company's highly acclaimed installation method, which does not require any bonding agent to be employed.This solution not only works with an extremely low failure rate, but also will ensure a very cost efficient replacement of the tactiles when itwill be required in future. The reason for this, that no bonding agent is employed. The worn tactiles will be removed and the new tactiles willbe installed without any re-drilling or bonding agent removal. Latter often leads to substrate damage as a good bonding agent while provides avery good solution at installation time, will bond very strongly to the substrate. When the tactile will be removed, the bonding agent may tearoff pieces from the substrate and causing damage to it. On an expensive substrate like marble, granite, terrazzo the substrate repair / replacementcould way exceed the cost of the tactile installation.
