Poligard Polystyrene Products from Polyblock International

Polystyrene treated with Poligard® provides an effective insect deterrent that will inhibit the nesting of insects within the polystyrene board. The active ingredient of Poligard® is bifenthrin a proven chemical used world wide for the management of termites, ants and other insects. The low percentage of bifenthrin used in Poligard® ensures that the polystyrene board is unattractive to termites, ants and other insects while not creating a health risk for the installer of the board or the end user. The polystyrene board treated with Poligard® can be re-cycled. It will not decompose, decay or leach out and is safe as landfill.

Poligard® is not a termite barrier and must be used in conjunction with a termite management program in accordance with the Australian Standard A3660 "Protection of buildings from subterranean termites".
