Seeds of Hope and Dreams Public Art Project for St Albans

seeds of hopes and dreams

Seeds of Hopes and Dreams a Brimbank City Council public art project for St Albans by artists Andrea Tomaselli and Dianne Beevers.

Seeds of Hopes and Dreams is a Public Art project that incorporates four permanent artworks across the St Albans' CBD. The artworks combine sculpture, lighting, paving and seating elements to celebrate the unique community of St Albans.

The artists, Dianne Beevers and Andrea Tomaselli have drawn upon the indigenous yam daisy and other related plants as the central motifs of the project for their universal symbolism of hopes and dreams. These plants, migratory species that spread on the wind, are strong symbols for a richly diverse community proudly built on migration.

Seeds of Hopes and Dreams is part of Brimbank City Council's vision and commitment to the revitalisation of its Town Centres and the building of community connectedness within the municipality.
