Eco rubber surfaces - Dalsouple scoops sustainability award

Rubber surface specialist Dalsouple has reason to celebrate, having bagged the Sustainable Building Solution Award, sponsored by What's new in Building, in the 100% Design Awards.

The Somerset based company beat off stiff competition on the short list from Impey wet rooms and German manufacturer Sky Light. What swung it, in the judges' eyes, was Dalsouple's commitment to true sustainability in a world where so many companies merely pay lip service to the concept.

Rubber is a natural product, and what Dalsouple do with it leaves other, less environmentally friendly materials in the shade. The company has been exhibiting at 100% Design for many years, and has always been keen to support new young designers in making the most of its material.

Dalsouple rubber offers total design flexibility, with a vast range of colour's and textures, plus marbled and terrazzo finishes. Latest addition is Dal-Lastic, a complete range of rubber tiles for outdoor use.
