TigerTurf synthetic turf for Gold Coast Robina Stadium

During the construction of the brand new Gold Coast Robina Stadium, home of the Titans rugby teams, the Head Curator, Peter Cronin, was looking for an alternative to natural grass for the main side line.

TigerTurf were able to provide the answer, synthetic grass. We installed 5656m² of TigerTurf FR65R with a sand and rubber infill. The grass will provide superior wear and tear to natural grass and added support due to the 10mm rubber shockpad underneath the grass. The system conforms to the IRB, International Rugby Board standards.

In addition we have supplied a short pile non filled grass for the warm up area, 100m² that can be washed down.

"250,000 people attended the opening of the stadium, had our synthetic FR65 not been selected, we woiuld have had to replace the natural turf already," commented Peter Cronin, Head Curator.
