NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESStacked Cladding Fireplace Design from Craft Stone![]() This traditional stone cladding fireplace has been constructed with Craft Stone facing. The stone cladding gas log fireplace is constructed using a timber frame, clad with fibre cement sheet, and Sankey expanded metal lathe (or also known as tillers mesh). The Craft Stone Stacked Ledgestone “Merlot” has been fitted using a 12mm “Standard” mortar joint, this achieves a unique traditional stone fireplace design. A plasma screen television has been easily fitted to the lightweight stone facing wall using a bracket installed prior to the lightweight cladding stonework. The internal stone cladding system for this fireplace project was completed in just one day, emphasizing the cost & labour saving incentives of using Craft Stone claddings on fireplace designs. |
