TigerTurf WETT Dressed surface is not so wet!

After almost 20 years of action, Bathurst Regional Council chose TigerTurf to resurface one of their three existing synthetic pitches, at the Cooke Hockey complex. During the recent Premier league finals the other two existing surfaces, one waterbased and one sandfilled, were unplayable due to torrential rain but the new TigerTurf WETT pitch drained perfectly say's Club President, Libby Milligan. 'It really is a nice surface to play on' Milligan added.

The existing sand filled surface and shockpad were uplifted and a new rubber shockpad laid prior to the installation of TigerTurf's WETT Dressed surface. WETT Dressed is a medium pile, sand dressed, texturised polyethylene monofilament surface, exclusive to TigerTurf, providing a greater life expectancy. The installation has been FIH tested and complies with all the performance requirements for specified international and national hockey competitions.

Other features & benefits of WETT Dressed are:

  • FIH Global product approval
  • Extremely durable fibre providing a longer life expectancy
  • Little sign of deformation or change after extensive wear testing
  • Less friction between ball and surface resulting in a faster more consistent game and improved grip that allows the player to dictate the play and not the ground
  • A more stable feel under foot

Declared a city in 1885, Bathurst is Australia's oldest inland settlement and is most famous for its Mount Panorama racing circuit. Bathurst Hockey Association has in excess of 100 teams across all age ranges.
